After logging into the Scantranx POS app for the first time, you’ll be prompted to complete a few essential setup steps to ensure the system is configured for your store’s operations. These settings can later be adjusted under the Settings menu if needed.

General Settings
Use this section to define how your POS behaves during sales.
Options:

Prompt Sales Person:
Enable this to require the cashier to select a sales representative before each transaction. -
Cash Drawer:
Set to “Open” to automatically open the cash drawer after each sale. -
Receipt Copies:
Specify the number of copies the POS should print for each sale. -
Select Branch:
Choose the branch location (e.g., Head Office, Branch A).
Receipt Settings
Customize the store details and how receipts are printed for customers.
Fields:

Store Name: Enter your business name (e.g., Demo Stores Inc.).

Terminal ID: Assign a terminal code (e.g., T0001).

Address, Phone, Email: Provide contact information that will appear on receipts.

Receipt Caption: Short tagline or product category (e.g., Clothing • Shoes • Accessories).

Receipt Message: Message displayed at the bottom of receipts (e.g., Thanks for your patronage!).

Return/Exchange Options: Enable Return Allowed or Exchange Allowed as applicable.

Request Signature: Enable if a digital signature is required for each sale.
Hardware Settings
Configure devices connected to your POS system such as printers and card readers.
Options:

Printer Size: Choose between 58mm or 80mm paper sizes based on your printer.

Connection Mode: Select how the printer connects (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or USB).

Printer Name: Displays the connected printer name or allows pairing.

Card Reader: Shows connected card reader device (e.g., Stripe-TN8423HQ).
Tips:

Tap Save after completing each tab (General, Receipt, Hardware).

You can always return to these settings from Settings → POS Configuration.

For Bluetooth printers, ensure they are paired under your Android Bluetooth settings before connecting.
