Holding and Resuming Sale

The Hold Sale feature in Scantranx POS allows cashiers to temporarily pause an ongoing transaction and resume it later.
This is especially useful when a customer needs to retrieve an item, resolve a payment issue, or when the cashier must serve another customer quickly without canceling the current sale.

Hold a Sale:

1. Add items to the transaction list as you normally would during a sale.

2. Click the Hold Sale button on the top menu bar.

3. The current transaction will be saved temporarily, and the POS will clear the screen for the next transaction.

4. You can continue serving other customers or performing other POS functions.

Resume a Held Sale:

1. Click the Sales button on the top menu bar.

2. Navigate to the ON-HOLD section.

3. Select the held transaction from the list.

4. Click Resume Sale to reload the transaction onto the main POS screen.

5. Review the items and proceed to Checkout to complete the sale.

Tip:
Use Hold Sale instead of Cancel Sale to preserve all entered data, especially for large or complex orders.

Note:
Held transactions are automatically deleted at the end of the day’s closeout if not resumed or completed.
