To Perform a Sale:

  1. Open the Scantranx POS application and log in.

  2. On the Sales Screen, scan the product barcode using the connected barcode scanner.

    • Alternatively, type the product name or code in the search field and click Search.

  3. The product will appear in the transaction list along with its name, quantity, and total price.

  4. Repeat the scanning or search process to add multiple items to the order.

  5. (Optional) To apply a discount or coupon:

    • Enter the coupon code in the Enter Coupon field and click Validate.

    • To apply a manual discount, click Discount (%) and enter the discount value.

  6. Review the total amounts displayed below the item list:

    • Sub-Total – The total before tax.

    • Sales Tax – Automatically calculated based on your tax settings.

    • Gross Total – The total after tax.

    • Coupon Value – Discount amount, if applicable.

    • Payment Due – The total amount the customer owes.

  7. Proceed to the Payment Section on the right-hand side.

    • Select the preferred Payment Option:

      • Cash

      • Debit Card

      • Credit Card

      • Bank Transfer

      • Wallet

      • Multiple (for split payments)

  8. If you select Multiple, specify the amount paid by each method under Split Payment.

  9. Click Checkout to complete the transaction.

  10. The system will generate a receipt automatically — which can be printed or emailed to the customer.

Tip:
Use the Hold Sale button at the top if you need to temporarily pause a transaction and resume it later.

Note:
If internet connectivity is lost, Scantranx POS automatically switches to Offline Mode, allowing you to continue sales. Transactions will sync automatically when the connection is restored.
