Syncing Data and Working Offline

Scantranx POS automatically synchronizes all your sales, inventory, and transaction data with the central database in real-time.
However, in cases where the internet connection is temporarily unavailable, the system switches seamlessly to Offline Mode to ensure uninterrupted operation.

A. Syncing Data Manually

While data sync happens automatically in the background, you can also perform a manual sync whenever needed.

To manually sync your data:

  1. On the main POS screen, click the Sync button at the top menu bar.

  2. The system will start syncing all pending transactions, product updates, and customer data with the central server.

  3. Once synchronization is complete, a confirmation message will appear indicating that all records have been updated successfully.

Tip:
Always perform a manual sync at the start and end of each workday to ensure all sales and inventory data are up to date.

B. Working in Offline Mode

If the internet connection is lost, Scantranx POS will automatically switch to Offline Mode.
In this mode, you can continue to process transactions normally without interruption.

  • All sales and receipts are stored locally on the POS terminal.

  • Email receipts and cloud updates are queued until the internet connection is restored.

  • Once back online, the system automatically pushes all offline transactions to the server.

Note:
While in offline mode, features that require real-time communication — such as QuickBooks or Xero sync, online payments, or remote reporting — will be temporarily disabled until reconnection.
